The Chiefs gave Berry a huge extension in February.

Eric Berry is one of the most talented, most inspirational players in the National Football League. He has been one of the most feared safeties in the league since being drafted fifth overall in the 2010 draft, and his incredible battle against Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014 is a story that will be told for many years.

Berry is as elite as they come, able to line up in the slot, as a deep zone safety, and in the box. His talent in coverage and ability to get upfield to attack the ballcarrier allow him to succeed in any situation, on any down.

Berry’s best attribute may actually be his ability to run with the football. Not only is he a threat to generate turnovers, but he possesses the skills to take it to the house. His 2016 season can be defined by two plays, his pick-six against the Panthers and his iconic pick six two against the Falcons.

Berry has been a Pro Bowler every year he has been healthy and a First-team All-Pro in three of those five seasons. His 427 tackles and 14 interceptions in just five full seasons are more than impressive and he’s still in his prime.

Look for another All-Pro year from Berry this season. Expect him to hit 80 tackles, 10 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions, with at least 1 touchdown in 2017.

5x Pro Bowl (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016)
