The Best #60 in the NFL: Max Unger

Max Unger| New Orleans Saints | Center

In 2015, Unger was traded to the Saints for Jimmy Graham.

Draft: 2009, Round 2, Pick 49

Max Unger has been a great center since entering the league in 2009. An immediate starter for the Seahawks, he was the key centerpiece of the Seattle line before the unit began its nosedive to the bottom of the league in 2015. During his time in Seattle, Unger was a First-team All-Pro, was named to two Pro Bowls, and went to two Super Bowls, winning one in that infamous 43-8 drubbing of the Broncos in February, 2014.

In 2015, Seattle sent Unger and a first round pick to New Orleans in exchange for star tight end Jimmy Graham. The Saints have to like what became of that trade, as that first round pick became 2015 NFL All-Rookie Stephone Anthony, and Unger has been excellent, only allowing 12 quarterback pressures in all of 2016.

Unger suffered a lisfranc injury and underwent surgery in May, but recent developments have him eyeing a week one return. Assuming he is healthy, the Saints line is looking pretty good heading into 2017.
