The Best #63 in the NFL: Corey Linsley

Corey Linsley | Green Bay Packers | Center

Linsley is in his final year of his rookie contract.

Height: 6’3″ | Weight: 301

Date of Birth: 7/27/1991 (25)

Hometown: Youngstown, Ohio

College: Ohio State

Draft: 2014, Round 5, Pick 161

Contract: 4 years, $2.4 million, through 2017

Corey Linsley has been a serviceable center for the Packers since taking over for an injured J.C. Tretter in 2014. His play earned him the starting job, which he kept through the 2014 and 2015 seasons, and a spot on the NFL All-Rookie Team.

A lingering hamstring injury kept Linsley off the field in 2016, as Tretter returned to the starting lineup. Now it seems the Packers may have a position battle at Center, albeit a good battle to have.

No matter which player the Packers choose coming into 2017, they know they have a quality starter who can get the job done in both pass protection and run blocking. When healthy, Linsley was the better player, but should Green Bay go with Tretter, they’ll remain one of the league’s better offensive lines.
