Trent Williams | Washington Redskins | Offensive Tackle
Height: 6’5″ | Weight: 320
Date of Birth: 7/19/1988 (28)
Hometown: Longview, Texas
Draft: 2010, Round 1, Pick 4
Contract: 5 years, $68 million, through 2020
Trent Williams has been the linchpin of the Redskins offense since he was drafted in 2010. The Skins took the former Sooner with the 4th overall pick, and he has easily lived up to that selection.
Williams has seen many linemates and offensive weapons come and go during his time in the nation’s capital, but whether he’s protecting the blind side of Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman, Robert Griffin, or Kirk Cousins, Williams has always been a near unbreakable barrier on the left side.
In 2016, Williams missed the first four games of the year due to suspension, but emerged as the best left tackle in the game from week five and on. He only let up 16 pressures in a 12 game span, and only committed three penalties.
As the team looks to further improve on an impressive offensive season last year, the Washington offensive line should only continue to improve in 2017. Look for nothing less than a pro bowl caliber season from big #71.
