The Best #73 in the NFL: Marshal Yanda

Marshal Yanda | Baltimore Ravens| Guard

At 33, Yanda is still the best at what he does.

Height: 6’3″ | Weight: 305

Date of Birth: 9/15/1984 (32)

Hometown: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

College: Iowa

Draft: 2007, Round 3, Pick 86

Contract: 5 years, $34.14 million, through 2019

Marshal Yanda is the simply the best interior offensive lineman in professional football, and has been for several seasons. The scary thing about the veteran is he’s still improving. While Yanda’s run blocking has always been elite, his pass blocking continues to improve each season. It’s not like he needed to get better as a pass blocker, either. He only allowed six hurries throughout the entirety of 2016, and has not given up a sack or hit since early 2015.

The Ravens line has some holes to fill, specifically at the opposite guard of Yanda, where they’re still trying to replace Kelechi Osemele, but thanks especially to #73, Baltimore boasts one of the better pass blocking units in the league heading into 2017.
