Jack Conklin is the first of only four rookies in our list, and he is quite possibly the best of the bunch. (Our future Best #21 may disagree.) The Titans made a few draft day moves prior to selecting Conklin, which made his selection raise a few eyebrows across the league, it would take a whole paragraph to explain in full, so just look it up if you’re curious. Long story short, a lot of Titans fans weren’t thrilled that they made two big trades just to take the supposed second best tackle, instead of pre-draft darling Laremy Tunsil.
Conklin quickly proved those doubters wrong. He not only made an immediate impact at right tackle, but was a First-team All-Pro as a rookie. No single member of the Tennessee line gave up more than three sacks last season, and the team amassed 2,180 rushing yards with Conklin anchoring the right side.
The Titans are coming into 2017 looking like an emerging competitor, and success in the NFL starts in the trenches. In a league where the right tackle is often the weak link on the line, that is not at all the case for Conklin, who should only continue to improve in his sophomore year.
