Draft: 2005, Undrafted

Cameron Wake is one of the best rags to riches stories in the NFL. Undrafted out of Penn State in 2005, Wake spent the spring of ’05 on the Giants roster before being cut in June. He joined the Canadian Football League’s BC Lions in 2007, and played two seasons in Vancouver, winning CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player both years. After the 2008 season, Wake received 17 offers from NFL teams before signing with the Miami Dolphins in January, 2009.

Since 2009, Wake has been a devastating pass rushing force for Miami. Over eight years, Wake has played in 116 games, totaling 288 combined tackles, 81.5 sacks, and 21 forced fumbles. He’s broken the 10 sack mark four times, with his best season coming in 2012, when he got to the quarterback 15 times.

At 35, Wake is still a top pass rusher in the NFL. He tends to lack year-to-year consistency with his sack numbers, so double digits may not happen, but 7.5-8.5 sacks is a good bet. Either way, look for him to continue to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks this season.
